Learners must be international medical graduates who graduated from a university listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. There is no age requirement.

Yes, we offer both 6-week and 4-week programmes. You must select your preferred duration when applying.

No. You can apply from outside the UK, but you must ensure you have the necessary visa in place for your visit.

Unfortunately, we cannot sponsor or assist with visa applications.

Accommodation is not provided, but we can guide you in finding suitable local accommodation if needed.

You can provide either a UK DBS certificate or an overseas police clearance certificate.

Yes. On your first day, you will be issued a badge displaying your full name and position as a Clinical Observer.

No formal dress code is required. Smart-casual and professional attire is recommended.

No. Clinical attachments are only offered during primary care working hours (Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18:00) and on the set cohort dates (excluding bank holidays).

The fee covers administrative costs and is therefore non-refundable.

Yes. All clinical attachees will undergo an induction on the first day, facilitated by a member of our team.

You may bring a packed lunch. There is also a space where you can eat with members of Hoyland Medical Practice. Nearby places to purchase lunch can be found here.

Yes. A certificate confirming completion of your clinical attachment will be emailed to you.

Yes. You will have allocated sessions during your attachment to complete audits.

References are reserved for doctors who demonstrate excellence and consistently show competencies in line with GMC Good Medical Practice throughout their clinical attachment.
